The girls gymnastics team had a successful showing at the invite at Arrowhead High School on Saturday Jan. 21. The girls scored seventh place and are looking forward to improving their skills in future meets.

“I think we worked really well as a team and I was proud of everyone,” Tori Cayle, senior, said.

They team showed up ready to work hard and left with hope for future success.

“We went into the meet hopeful that we would compete at our best and came out saying ‘okay’ knowing we did our best. However, we can do better, and we still have room for improvement,” India Wilkerson, sophomore, said.

The girls competed against seven other schools: Arrowhead, Whitefish Bay, Waukesha, Sun Prairie, West Bend East, West Bend West and Kenosha. Kenosha won the championship with a score of 140.175.

“The team did really well. Right now, our main goal is to keep improving our skills for future meets,” Elise Goebel, freshman, said.
