Each Friday, one freshman is chosen to be featured on The Highlander Online.  This lucky freshman is interviewed in order for students to learn more about Homestead’s newest Mighty Highlanders.  This week’s pick is Sullivan Prellwitz, more commonly known as, Sully, a music fanatic.

What genre of music is your favorite to listen to? Why?

Electronic music is my favorite genre of music to listen to.  I enjoy this music because of its great diversity and different styles.

Who inspired you to play the trombone?

I was inspired by my cousin, Gabe, to play the trombone.  He plays the trombone in his school band.

If you could attend any concert of a performer either dead or alive, who would you choose to see? Why this person?

I would go to a Fall Out Boy concert because I love their music and the way they perform live.

When do you find yourself most immersed in music?

I find myself most immersed in music while doing homework or working on a project.  The music keeps me focused on my tasks.

How has music influenced you?

Music influences me to motivate me while I’m skiing.  It also helps me confront a hard run or do something on skis I’m not totally comfortable with.
