Freshman Friday: Jake Raddatz tackles his way into high school

Every Friday, Highlander Publications chooses a freshman to be featured in “Freshman Friday,” giving the student body the opportunity to get to know more about the freshman class. This week’s freshman is Jake Raddatz.

 

How many siblings do you have?

I have two siblings–a brother and a sister.

 

What middle school did you go to?

I went to Lakeshore.

 

What sports do you play?

I participate in football and track.

 

What position do you play on the football team?

I play inside linebacker.

 

What do you enjoy about playing football?

I like everything. Being with friends, good coaches and I love the game and competition.

 

What event do you do in track?

I do shot put and discus.

 

What do you like about track?

Playing with all of my friends makes it really fun.

 

What are you looking forward to this year at Homestead?

I’m looking forward to having more freedom because middle school was the worst with that.
