The girls varsity basketball had a strong exhibit at Whitefish Bay High School on Friday, Jan. 13, 2017. With a win of 54-44, the girls were very proud.

“We definitely weren’t going to show up and lose. That game was our conference championship. For us to have a shot at taking the conference title, we had to win,” Samantha Crivello, sophomore, said.

As a whole, the team challenged themselves with this tight game but they were extremely successful.

“Even though we started out slow we kept in it and found a way to win,” Grace Crowley, sophomore, said.

The team is very proud of all of the things they have done to get closer to being conference champions.

“In the first half there were times where as a team no one was putting in the effort needed to win the game. After coming out of the locker room we got together and talked. We discussed that if we want to accomplish our goal of conference champs we need to work hard on defense especially to come out with a win,” Chloe Marotta, junior, said.

Overall, it was a big game for the girls and they managed to come out with another win.

“It was nice to get another win in conference! Every conference game is a step closer to a conference championship,” Emily Polk, senior, said.
