Q: How did you two meet?

Mr. Tony Navarre: Molly’s aunt and I were acquaintances in my hometown. When I moved to the Milwaukee Area to teach at Homestead, she gave me Mrs. Navarre’s contact information. That is how we connected.

Mrs. Molly Navarre: We met at Homestead but had connections from Eau Claire where Tony is from (and where I went to college).  Tony coached two of my cousins in various sports back in Eau Claire so we had communicated via phone prior to meeting in person.

Q: How long have you been married?

Tony: We will have been married seven years on June 19.

Molly: Six years, seven this June.

Q: How did you know you wanted to spend the rest of your life with the other?

Tony:  We became friends, had common interests and enjoyed spending time together. As we continued to hang out, it was more of a realization that there was no one else I wanted to spend my time with.

MollyWe had so much in common and enjoyed spending our time together.

Q: What’s the best memory you two have together?

Tony: The birth of our children.

Molly: Honestly, our wedding was fabulous.  All of the people we love most, gathered together, having a great time. I should add our children.  That trumps our wedding (though our wedding was amazing).

Q: What’s the worst memory you two have together?

Tony: When I was diagnosed with cancer and in the hospital are easily the most difficult moments.

Molly: Hearing the words “you have cancer.” Absolutely the worst moment ever.

Q: What do you love most about the other?

Tony: I love how much she has in common with me. We have very similar interests and hobbies. We enjoy athletic events, spending time with our families and being outdoors.

Molly: Tony’s sense of humor and ability to just go with the flow.

Q: What annoys you the most about the other?

Tony: Mrs. Navarre can be very anxious, sometimes it is hard for her to relax. However, this is also what makes her an amazing teacher. She is relentless in how hard she works for her students and families.

Molly: Sometimes he doesn’t take things seriously. Oh, and if he’s watching TV, that’s it. I can expect to not have anything I say heard.
