The Highlander Online

About

Welcome to The Highlander Online, the online website of Homestead High School, managed completely by the Highlander Publications student staff and adviser Rachel Rauch.  Primarily, the website focuses on the work done by Advanced Publications program: however, there is also work done from the Intro to Publications class. Content is published daily.

The Highlander News magazine is published once a trimester, and the Tartan Yearbook and Senior Magazine are published annually. All are components of the Highlander Publications program.

The purpose of The Highlander Online is to add timely, frequent, interesting stories to inform the Homestead and greater Mequon and Thiensville communities. The mission of the Highlander Publications program is to create well-rounded digital natives who adhere to deadlines and know the value of teamwork.

The Highlander Online’s editorial policy is to present facts and opinions in a fair and honest manner on issues pertaining to students at Homestead. We uphold the right to speak unpopular opinions and the privilege to agree with the majority. Letters to The Highlander Online are encouraged; however, we reserve the right to edit for length and grammatical errors. In addition, letters must be signed, but names will be withheld upon request. The adviser of Highlander Publications is Mrs. Rachel Rauch. Send comments or suggestions to [email protected].
