Once-in-a-lifetime experiences
“I’ve seen a good chunk of the United States, and I’ve encountered some really neat events in my lifetime. I’ve been extremely fortunate to be able to travel.
Years ago, I’ve had the opportunity to visit the Grand Ole Opery twice. It’s located in Nashville, Tennessee. While I was there, I got the chance to go backstage. While backstage, I was able to meet many big stars. I can’t remember anything about them, not their names, not their ages, but I do remember meeting them. Some of the stars I met were very cool people.
Also, I used to live in Florida. I was there when the Challenger, one of Nasa’s space shuttles, blew up. I lived in Daytona, which is relatively close to Cape Canaveral where the shuttle exploded.
We would always go to that beach and watch the space shuttles take off. I remember that we saw this big spark and instantly, we all knew something was definitely wrong.” (Nancy Kress, principal’s secretary)
