Freshman Friday: Sesini enjoys start of her high school career

May 13, 2016

Every Friday, Highlander Publications chooses a freshman to be featured in “Freshman Friday,” giving the student population the opportunity to get to know its freshman class. Read below to learn about this week’s freshman, Dani Sesini.

Do you play any sports?

Yes, I play volleyball. I have played since I was in sixth grade and I was on the freshman team for Homestead.

What is your favorite part about playing on the HHS team?

I really liked playing for HHS this year because my team was really awesome and I was new to the district and only knew one person. Everyone was super nice and we all really bonded and played well as a team.

Do you have any siblings?

Yes, I have one brother. His name is Michael and he goes to UW-Milwaukee.

Do you have any pets?

I have three dogs; two shih tzus named Ginger and Teddy and a yellow lab named Lucky.

If you were a sandwich, what type would you be?

I would probably be a ham and cheese sandwich because it’s a classic that almost everyone loves.

If you could fill an empty pool with anything, what would it be?

I would definitely fill it with Jell-O because I saw it in the movie Wild Child and I thought it was really cool.

What has been your favorite part of high school so far?

My favorite part has definitely been meeting new people. Coming from a small school with about 10 girls in your class to a huge school really opened my eyes to all these great people and new friendships I have formed.

What are you looking forward to most about your next three years at Homestead?

I am looking forward to creating many lasting friendships and having a lot of fun.
