Bonfiglio strums through freshman year
March 27, 2015
At Homestead High School music serves as a crucial part of students lives. For Alyssa Bonfiglio, freshman, music has been a part of her life for multiple years, with singing, listening to music and exploring how to play new instruments. Bonfiglio was first musically inspired by her father and has had the passion ever since.
“I started piano at the really young age of six,” she stated. Bonfiglio competed in piano until the age of 11. While her competitive piano career ended she did not allow that to block her road of musicality.
Mr. Larry Theiss taught Bonfiglio how to play the guitar and drums. Although she no longer practices drums she still practices the guitar and piano daily.
During Christmas 2013 Bonfiglio got a ukulele and she “loves learning new songs” on it.
Although Bonfiglio does not see herself going into the music industry, playing instruments serves as a great pass time for now.
