Freshman Friday: Gross dribbles her way through high school

April 3, 2015

Every Friday Homestead Publications picks a freshman to be featured in “Freshman Friday,” giving the student population the opportunity to get to know its freshman class. Read below to learn about Kacie Gross, an athletic volleyball, basketball and softball player.

What has been your favorite aspect of Homestead during your first year here?

My favorite thing this year at Homestead has been seeing so many different people throughout the day. Last year we had class with our homeroom.

If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go and why?

I would go to Norway because they have such diverse landscape, animals, and architecture.

Favorite class and teacher at Homestead? Why?

My favorite class this year was Honors World Studies with Mrs. Grimm. Everyday there was a new exciting lesson. My favorite one was when she ran around with a ping-pong shooter to teach us about the Contra Boys in South America.

Who is a person that you’ve always looked up to your entire life? Why them?

I have always looked up to Amelia Earhart because she pushed the limits and persevered through many obstacles

What sports do you play in and out of high school? Do you have a favorite?

I  play volleyball, basketball, and softball. Basketball and softball are tied for favorite.
