Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin plans new medical office building in Mequon
June 2, 2015
In order to serve patients on a wider spectrum, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin plans to build a “two-story, 40,000-square-foot medical office building on the east side of Mequon,” according to an article posted in the Milwaukee Business Journal. This specialty clinic “could be under construction in late spring for an early 2016 completion.”
According to an article posted on the Brown Deer Now, “Ryan Companies, a real estate development firm, has made an offer to purchase the property,” and “the building would have access to Market Street through a private driveway that serves the Sarah Chudnow Community Center and the JCC Water Park.”
“This is another example of how we are taking care closer to home for children and their families, offering greater convenience for [them],” Gerry Steele, Children’s Hospital senior media specialist, said.
Tracy Christenson, Mequon parent and Homestead alumna, discusses what the new clinic will bring to the community, saying that it will be “convenient” for her family to see a specialist closer to home. “This is exactly what the North Shore needs,” Christenson said.
