The girls gymnastics team will compete in the conference championships today, Feb. 19. The Highlanders have been gaining momentum towards the end of the season, and their goal for the meet is to score a 135, which would be a season high.

Conference will be held at Whitefish Bay High School. Whitefish Bay, Nicolet and the combined team of Cedarburg/Grafton will provide tough competition for the Highlanders. Shorewood, Port Washington and the combined team of Menomonee Falls/Germantown will also be in attendance for conference.

Homestead will start off in the first round of the competition on the uneven bars and will end in the seventh round on vault. Vault has been a strong suit for the Highlanders, and they are looking to count all eights on both vault and floor.
