What to do on a football-less Friday night

Attention all football fans, because today is a Friday, many of you may believe that you will be attending yet another Homestead football game. However, Nicolet does not have a varsity football team this year, so Homestead will take a forfeit win and have a bye. Many of you die-hard fans may be asking yourselves, “What should I do on this rare occasion?” When asked what they would have been doing tonight, 87 out of 100 students said that they would have been attending the football game. Now that most people’s Friday nights are cleared up, we caught up with several students to see what their alternative plans for tonight are.

“I’ll probably go to a bonfire,” Hunter Maines, sophomore, said.

“I’ll go to McDonalds,” Andy Kruck, senior, said.

“I’ll go play sports,” Grace Beuachamp, sophomore, said.

“I’m going to hang out with friends at my lake house,” Ashley Heitz, freshman, said.

“I’m going hot tubbing,” Logan Kramer, sophomore, said.

“I’m going to a concert,” Coco Wiencek, junior, said.

“I’m watching Netflix,” Julia Warshauer, junior, said.

“I go bowling every Friday night that there is no football game,” Pj Quale, freshman, said.

The Homestead football stadium is deserted on this Friday night.

Next time you feel lost on a Friday night because you’re not sitting in those Highlander bleachers watching the boys of fall do what they do best, just remember, there are plenty of alternatives! Just go bowling.
