Homecoming dance brings dress dilemmas
A step-by-step guide to picking out the perfect Homecoming dress
Choosing the perfect Homecoming dress is a challenge high schools girls face every year. Although the dress selection is immense, only a select few are good enough to wear to the Homecoming dance.
“There are a lot of choices, and I had to figure out what style I wanted. It’s really overwhelming because sometimes the store won’t have my size or the color won’t be right,” Sophia Sullivan, sophomore, said.
The internet provides countless websites selling Homecoming dresses in a variety of colors. Seventeen magazine recommends promgirl.com, xenia.com and freepeople.com. to find the ideal dress. The online magazine also offers a quiz that should help make the decision process a bit easier.
Waiting until the last day is not the route to go. “Last year I waited until the day before to find my dress! This added so much stress that I just did not need,” Nicole Zingale, junior, said.
By following the steps above, finding a Homecoming dress should be a breeze, making Oct. 11 a stress-free day filled with fun and dancing.
Next step: find a date.
