The GEMS club attended a Prep-Pro workshop at Johnson Controls to learn about STEM careers.

The Girls Exploring Math and Science club (GEMS) attended a workshop April where the girls had a chance to ask women in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) careers questions about their careers.  The workshop is fairly new and GEMS has helped turn it into the big event it is this year with over 90 girls attending. Engaging Girls In STEM (EGGS) runs the event and is responsible for teaching the teens about the importance of networking, along with setting up a panel of women who describe the work they do in their STEM fields.
