Wojcik continues passion through pandemic
“I have been playing soccer my whole life. I’ve put so much passion, hard work and dedication into this sport, and it’s gotten me to where I am today. I’ve been playing with Waukesha Soccer Club; alongside that I also got recruited to play for the Wisconsin Fire and the Olympic development team. I committed to play D1 soccer at UWM sophomore year because I knew soccer was going to be a part of my future. The situation our world has been put in with the COVID-19 virus has made a huge impact on my ability to play soccer. Regionals as well as other practices and games are no longer taking place. For everything I’ve worked for it’s very hard that my team’s biggest tournament got canceled. However, I am continuing to take all the measures I can to continue my training and the sport that I love. While I am off, I am going to view this time as an opportunity to improve and prepare for when my training returns.” (Lola Wojcik, junior)
