Looking to the future
“As you enter your high school years of club swimming, the end goal is to be able to compete at a college or university that you love and can succeed at. For me, I found that school to be the University of Iowa. In the fall, I took a total of four different visits to the Universities of Wisconsin, Minnesota, Kentucky and Iowa. While each different school had many unique aspects to offer I knew that my final visit to Iowa was the place that was the best fit for me. Committing to a college early in my junior year was very stressful and full of lots of doubts. I questioned whether or not I would still have the same excitement for the school and the team by the time my senior year came around and I was worried that I missed out on a school I never visited. But at the end of the day, I know that I have spent 10 long years working hard in this sport and enjoying all of the successes and excitement that comes with it and I could not be more excited to continue that path at Iowa.” (Megan Hartlieb, Junior)
