Shannen McGuire, senior, has been dancing “basically ever since [she] started to walk.” The Homestead Dance team has danced at various competitions, but Badgerette Camp was her favorite. McGuire now holds the title of Miss Badgerette.

McGuire’s favorite senior year memory while being on the team was “state competition because we performed the better than we ever have before, making the coaches cry.” McGuire prefers solos over group and partner dances because she has the power to choreograph her own dance.

Out of the six styles of dance McGuire preforms, she claims “I can’t pick a favorite! I enjoy jazz, contemporary, pom and hip hop.” McGuire hopes to continue dancing at the University of Arizona.
