“My first grade teacher inspired me to become a teacher, and my Algebra 1 teacher inspired me to teach math. At first, I did not like math because it was a challenge for me, but I worked through those challenges and became interested in the subject. That is why one of my favorite parts about being a teacher is when I am able to help students who are struggling in math succeed because I can relate to their struggles. At Homestead, I support the Geometry, Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 math classes. I work with the other math teachers to create worksheets and lessons plans that help students understand and practice new math concepts.” – Kristina Hennecke, Math support teacher and learning resource teacher
