“I connect with cross country because to me it doesn’t feel like a sport it feels like a true thing that humans do. It’s that mental idea of like how far can your body go. How mentally strong are you, and then if we look at the sport to me it’s like the true sport, it’s you against yourself every single time. Also like you can’t really pay to be good at it, you can’t pay to be on the team, it’s literally what you put into it and you can have the highest of highs and the lowest of lows but it’s 100% dependant on what you do”.
