Mickey Vandermeuse, senior, moved to Homestead at the beginning of sophomore year. She met her best friend at band camp the week before school started. “Me and my best friend have been through a lot even though I haven’t known her that long coming from a different school district and meeting her we have a lot to bond over and talk about.” Vandermeuse also shared what she loves about Homestead and she had a lot to say “Homestead gives us the opportunity to be accepted into colleges, because of where we are education wise in Wisconsin. Coming from a school with lower standards with education and extra curriculars it was so different and love that about Homestead. I can say I will probably get into a college.”
