Sasha McKinney, senior, recalls moments before her race at the sectional swim meet. She recalls feeling energized and ready to help her relay team win. She explains that the relay team needed eighth to make the podium, and that they were seeded ninth. She swims backstroke and she was going to be first to go on the team. She remembers walking up to the block and stepping into the pool. She felt a wave of emotions, needing to get a strong start for her team. When the race started, she took off. Her relay ended up finishing seventh, and they placed on the podium.
