Should you buy a car, will I need one? Once you’re out of basic, you definitely can, but you won’t use it during schooling. Also be smart and don’t buy an expensive car just because you got a big bonus.

Do you get paid in BMT? Yes, you do. You just don’t have anything to spend your money on.

Can you have tattoos? Yes, you can. The only places where you can run into problems are the hand and neck area. For those areas, they have to be within an inch measurement in any direction, and for the neck, it has to be behind your ear, nothing on the front of your neck.

How does my hair have to look? For men, the bulk of your hair can’t be more than 2 ½ inches and no more than ¼ inch at the natural termination point. You are also allowed to have mustaches, they can’t go beyond a horizontal line extending across the corners of the mouth, and no more than ¼ inch beyond a vertical line drawn from the corner of the mouth. For women, you are allowed to pull-through buns, buns, chin length bob. Locs can be in a ponytail, you can have braids, and cornrows, but may not extend below a line between the top of each sleeve inseam at the underarm through the shoulder blades.

Can I have my nails done in the Air Force? You can either have an American manicure or French tips. They just changed the authorized to only clear.
