Charlie Read, freshman, says family is everything to him. When asked who his biggest inspiration was he proceeded to say, “My mom is my biggest inspiration because she makes me a better person.” He continued to speak about his late grandmother and how she was such an important woman in his life. He said, “I grew up going to my grandmother’s house and she was like a second home to me. She always made me feel so safe.” His brother, a student at Homestead, is one of his best friends. He then revealed that one of his biggest regrets was how he did not connect with his brother before they both grew up. “I love my brother Jack. I just wish we could have connected more before he had to go off to college,” Read said.
