Charlotte Lueck, senior, is headed to Miami University of Ohio next fall. When asked what she will miss most about Homestead, she highlighted her track and field team, saying “I’ll miss it a lot.” Lueck says, “I’ll miss my coaches, and I’ll miss competing, but I’ll miss my team the most.” In her two years on the track and field team, Lueck has been an integral part of two indoor team state titles, two outdoor team conference championships, and two first-place finishes in the 3200m relay at the WIAA state meet. She mentioned that she will try to continue running as she heads into the next stage of her life, “whether that means on an actual team or club.”
