Alejandro Brooks, senior, plays hockey and lacrosse. Brooks overcame adversity in the classroom and out of it when he had to face the challenges that came his way with being a student athlete. Brooks overcame the challenges of the student athlete schedule by making decisions and trying to make the best of the situation. He prepared himself to face adversity with a strong mindset and a good support group. His brother, Andrew Brooks, is who Alejandro said he thinks of when he hears the word adversity. Andrew went through a lot by himself and always took care of his younger siblings. Jandro has never been unable to overcome a challenge because it has made him a stronger person and made it easier for him to face challenges today.
