Girls lacrosse tryouts began on March 24th.
“The team’s biggest advantage is the new freshmen who have a lot of fresh talent. I am hoping that it will bring a lot to our team,” Megan Coyne, girls lacrosse coach, stated.
According to Guinevere Oosterbaan, freshman, there is not going to be a JV and Varsity team this year because there are not enough people on the team.
Coco Elser, freshman, stated that her biggest weakness is, “knowing when to shoot at the right time and using my non-dominant hand to shoot.”
Oosterbaan and Elser said that they want to improve their non-dominant hand but other than that, “they feel excited for the new season.”
Coyne also stated that the players she will be counting on this season will be “the older kids, so they can be leaders to our new players.”
Coyne said that the biggest strength and weakness of the team are, “most of our girls are younger, so it may be a small weakness. But our strength is how well the girls play with each other and how ready they are for this new season.”
