Ella NeSmith, senior, loves to travel and recently took a cruise to France, Italy, and Spain this summer. She says that her favorite country was Italy, because she was able “to experience actually speaking the language.” Additionally, she appreciated the sweet, welcoming attitude of many Italians that she met overseas. NeSmith notes that Rome was overrated, yet Portofino was her favorite city throughout her trip because of the cute and picturesque towns. She also mentions her enjoyment for the freshness and taste of the food in Italy in comparison to food here. NeSmith shares her appreciation for exploring other countries, saying, “I love traveling because I love seeing other people’s cultures.”
