“Loving someone is never a waste, especially when you get to grow because of it,” says Kamora Johnson, a senior at Homestead High School. She engaged in some personal reflection and discussed how communication and trust are the most important things, or the “keys to love.” “You are unable to learn and grow with your person if you refuse to communicate.” She continues to explain how she has used these in her own relationships in the past. As she continued discussing her love history, she addressed whether you should ever regret loving someone. She believes that loving someone serves as a lesson and helps her better understand future relationships. She then reflected on what the hardest thing in a relationship is. She says “you are not the only person in the relationship, so compromising is a necessity for being successful in relationships at our age.” Johnson’s emotional intelligence will continue to help her succeed in the future.
