Gabriella Tavera, freshman, explains a possible career interest for her involves something that has to do with the ocean, particularly ocean photography. She adds her understanding of how there is so much of the ocean that we have yet to explore. This interest is inspired by her curiosity regarding sharks, explaining how she enjoys having lots of items with sharks on them. Tavera’s liking of sharks influenced her to care more about the ocean; she began to be more careful about where she was throwing away trash, and how she was treating the environment as a whole. She then notes the increase of people who have jobs that they don’t necessarily love, and explains the importance of finding a job that you genuinely love, so she intends to find a career that involves her interests, such as sharks and the ocean.
