If you were to ask who in the junior class loves softball the most, it would be Hailey Kane. Kane attends Homestead High School and one of the things she is most passionate about is softball. She puts time and effort into working to be better. When she was younger, she would get herself down about failing and making mistakes. Now Kane realizes that making mistakes can help her in the future. Her embarrassment and failure helps her to improve and reflect in future games; and in return, do even better. Kane still makes mistakes and her team still loses games but so does everyone. However, losing one game or not playing well one time doesn’t define you as a player; Kane wishes every athlete knew that. Kane states, “When I’m playing softball I hope that we can win the game but we have to keep playing in order to get to that feeling of hope.”
