Teachers use Twitter for educational purposes
Launched in 2006, Twitter rapidly gained service world-wide. Twitter currently houses more than 500 million accounts, including those of teachers from Homestead High School.
Teachers use Twitter for their own academic purposes. These include posting homework assignments or just posting photos from class.
Homestead Principal Mr. Brett Bowers uses Twitter to tweet about everything Homestead. This includes live tweeting sporting events and concerts to tweeting about different classes.
According to her Twitter account, math teacher Jennifer Zortman uses twitter to show students “homework assignments, assessment dates, and other important items.”
Daniel Zvi, junior, said, “Mrs. Zortman’s Twitter is really helpful if I forget my homework assignments.”
