Every Friday, Highlander Publications chooses a freshman to be featured in “Freshman Friday,” giving the student population the opportunity to get to know its freshman class. Read below to learn about this week’s freshman, Kimmy Hartlieb.

What sports do you play?

I swim and do track.

If you played another sport what would it be?

I think ice skating would be so fun!

What events do you swim?

I swim the 200 IM and a couple of relays and I run the mile.

Do you like being a part of the team?

I love it! The team makes practice not as bad and I love seeing my swim friends in the halls.

How many siblings do you have?

I have three siblings; I’m the second oldest.

How many pets do you have?

I have one dog. Her name is Daisy.

If you could take a road trip with anybody, dead or alive, who would it be?

I would love to go on a road trip with Taylor Swift. I think it would be so fun to sing along with her and she’s just a cool person overall.

How do you like being a freshman at Homestead?

It’s pretty cool! I like high school.

What is your favorite breakfast food?

Asiago bagel from Einstein’s.
