Freshman Friday: Jackson Bogli kicks his way into high school

Every Friday, Highlander Publications chooses a freshman to be featured in “Freshman Friday,” giving the student population the opportunity to get to know its freshman class. Read below to learn about this week’s freshman, Jackson Bogli.

 

What sports do you play?

I play soccer.

 

What position do you play on the team?

I play forward.

 

What is your favorite part about being on the team?

My favorite part of it is probably being able to make a lot of new friends who I have something in common with at the beginning of high school.

 

Do you have any siblings?

Yes. I have one sister Abbie who just went off to college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

 

Do you have any pets?

Yes indeed; I have a beagle named Gracie.

 

Who is your role model and why?

My father is my role model because he always works his hardest at everything he does and he has succeeded in life because of that.

 

When you were a little kid, what did you wish to be as a grown up?

I always really wanted to be a professional soccer player.

 

Now what do you want to be when you grow up?

I still think it would be really cool to be a professional soccer player.

 

Who is your favorite soccer player and why?

Cristiano Ronaldo is my favorite soccer player because he came from nothing to the top and I think that that is awesome.

 

What has been your favorite part of high school so far?

It has been awesome meeting and becoming really close with all the soccer guys.

 

What do you look forward to most in high school?

I am really looking forward to going to all the football games and meeting new people in all the different grades.
