Three countries. 18 states.

Jessie Lappin, freshman, takes on new adventures within the country, and out of it.

Lappin’s favorite travel destination is Jamaica, where she has traveled one time. Her favorite travel buddy, best friend and cousin is Karly Konik, freshman. Konik’s family has joined the Lappin’s in Jamaica and also on other trips to New York and Mexico. For Jessie’s brother Jake’s senior trip in 2015, the Lappin family traveled to Punta Cana, Mexico. In the beginning of this fall she went to New York with the Koniks, but Jessie’s favorite things to do on vacation is “spend time at the beach and go on excursions.”

One of the many excursions she has done was going cliff diving in Negril, Jamaica.

“The cliff diving was so fun. At first I was scared to jump even at the lowest edge, but I actually ended up going off the 30 foot ledge! There were professionals there that jumped off an even higher ledge too.”

In the future, Lappin would love to travel to another country and study abroad in college. Eventually, she aspires to go on to become a physical therapist. She hopes that one day she will end up “anywhere in Europe” for a trip. “I hope to travel a lot in the future, and if I have kids, I want to show them all of the places that I have been and let them experience the fun memories I had in my childhood on vacation.”

Outside of traveling, Jessie is on the Homestead dance team and lives by the motto that hard work pays off, which is clearly shown with her dance skill and dedication.
