A bomb threat was found inside of a bathroom stall. Local law enforcers have searched the campus and resolved the issue.

A student found a written bomb threat  in a bathroom stall on Tuesday, Oct. 25 at approximately 11 a.m. The threat written on the bathroom door read: “Bomb @ 4:20.” According to a letter to district parents issued by Superintendent Dr. Demond Means, “local law enforcement was notified of the situation… and it was determined that the incident did not warrant an immediate evacuation but that after-school dismissal was an appropriate course of action.”

As a sign of precaution, law enforcement officers were present for the remainder of the school day and all after school activities have been cancelled. According to Dr. Means, “local law enforcement will be completing a sweep of the campus.”

The threat will be investigated and Homestead classes will resume as regularly scheduled tomorrow.
