Sam Gianakos and Matthew Klimkosky, seniors, are the student section leaders for the varsity football team during the 2016-2017 school year. Gianakos and Klimkosky bring Homestead students together every Friday night for yet another game to remember. As the student section leaders, they have many responsibilities such as determining the game’s theme every week, leading the chants at games, giving the halftime speech and keeping every student excited and engaged watching the game on the field. Read below to get to know Gianakos and Klimkosky on a more personal level separate from their status as the student section leaders.

What’s your favorite football game theme?

Gianakos: The USA theme.

Klimkosky: I like the USA and the Hawaiian themes.

 

What is something not a lot of people know about you?

Gianakos: I lived in Germany for 2 years.

Klimkosky: I was born in California.

 

If you could only take three things to a deserted island what would they be?

Gianakos: A lot of water, a lot of food and a sword.

Klimkosky: Food, a knife and a blanket.

 

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?

Gianakos: Flying because it would be really fun.

Klimkosky: To fly because I could go anywhere.

 

Who would you say is your hero and why?

Gianakos: Dustin Johnson because he’s unreal.

Klimkosky: Dan Bilzerian because he knows how to live.

 

What’s your favorite TV show?

Gianakos: I like The Office.

Klimkosky: My favorite show is Blue Mountain State.

 

What’s your favorite thing to do in your free time?

Gianakos: Hangout with friends.

Klimkosky: Chill.

 

Where do you see yourself in three years?

Gianakos: At a four-year college.

Klimkosky: I see myself in college.

 

What’s your biggest fear?

Gianakos: The Homestead student section not being the best in state.

Klimkosky: Being mugged.

 

What are your hobbies and/or what are some extracurriculars you are involved in?

Gianakos: I play soccer, lacrosse and I like to golf and ski.

Klimkosky: I run cross country and I play lacrosse.

 

What is your goal as a student section leader?

Gianakos: Get the football team hyped.

Klimkosky: To have the the loudest and craziest student section in the state, and hopefully cheer the boys to another state title.

 

What’s your favorite song?

Gianakos: My favorite song is the The Star-Spangled Banner.

Klimkosky: I like Live from the Gutter by Future and Drake.

 

What’s your dream car?

Gianakos: A really nice Cadillac.

Klimkosky: My dream car is a Ferrari.

 

What is one of your biggest pet peeves?

Gianakos: When teachers erase everything but one little mark on the board.

Klimkosky: When people walk too slow in the halls.

 

How would you describe your fellow student section leader?

Gianakos: Rowdy.

Klimkosky: Rowdy.

 

What’s your favorite subject?

Gianakos: I like math.

Klimkosky: I like Team Sports.

 

What do you want to do when you grow up?

Gianakos: I want to start a business.

Klimkosky: I hope to have a job and make money.

 

If you had three wishes, what would you wish for?

Gianakos: A million more wishes.

Klimkosky: Unlimited money, a really hot wife and to hangout with Seth Rogen.

 

What is your best trait?

Gianakos: Being nice.

Klimkosky: Being social.

 

What is the best part of being a student section leader?

Gianakos: Every part.

Klimkosky: Repping Homestead because it is undoubtedly the best school in the state.
