Girls cross country takes on the sixtieth annual Smiley Invitational
On Saturday Sept. 17, the girls junior varsity and varsity cross country teams competed at the sixtieth annual Smiley Cross Country Invitational at Tribute Golf Course in Wausau, Wis. The JV team came in fourth place with Savanna Melan, junior, finishing first of the Homestead girls. Melan was followed by Ava Wojnowski, freshman and Natalie Gauss, sophomore. For varsity, Allie Levin, senior, took fourth place in the Division One Girls Varsity race .
“It was a really great trip. The team really bonded doing everything from waking up at six am to run, all the way to doing the Macarena after our races,” Levin said.
