Homecoming Friday — Get your game on
Homecoming Friday is the day the whole school dresses in red and white, screams its heart out at the prep rally, and concludes the day with yet another victorious football game.
This year, on Oct. 7, at the pep rally, students played fun games such as Hungry Hungry Hippos and competed in disgusting food challenges, like eating baby food and crickets.
Students then ventured to the Homecoming Parade where they represented their sports teams and clubs. “My favorite part of homecoming week was Friday when everyone dressed up and showed their school spirit,” Ashley Cwiklinski, sophomore, said.
Finally, at 7 p.m., Homestead’s spirited student section showed up to cheer on their beloved football players in their ultimate win against long-time rival, Whitefish Bay High School.
