Boys soccer defeats West Bend West
The boys soccer team won its fourth game of the season 3-0 against West Bend West on the road Sept. 5. Luca DeMartino, senior, scored all three goals with two assists from Jackson Bogli, junior, and one from Colin Satchie, sophomore.
“I think the game went well. I thought that as a team, we collectively played together. So far we’ve been playing really great and we are undefeated. I hope that for the rest of the season, we continue winning and play well in the state tournament,” Bogli said.
The team worked together to score all three goals within the first half of the game. Captains DeMartino and Jeffrey Skow, seniors, have lead the team in an undefeated season thus far, and both have great expectations for the rest of the season.
“The beginning of the season has been great so far, and I hope that it continues. The team overall is one of the best teams we’ve had in my four years here,” DeMartino said.
“This season has been full of optimism so far. We have 15 returning players so we came strong right out of the gate,” Skow said. “It’s good to see how hard everyone worked over the summer, and I think that we can go far in the playoffs this year. The latter part of our schedule is more tough, so we will truly see how much heart this team has.”
