Freshman Friday: Tony Wallskog

Every Friday, Highlander Publications chooses a freshman to be featured in “Freshman Friday,” giving the student population the opportunity to get to know its freshman class Read below to learn about this week’s freshman, Tony Wallskog.

What class is your favorite and why?
My favorite class is World Studies because our teacher, Mr. Scholze, makes class entertaining but we also learn a lot about the world.

What is your dream job?
My dream job is a geologist because I have always been interested in cool rocks and fossils. I am also interested in studying world patterns.

If you could have any pet, what would it be?
If I could have any pet it would be a snake because I would enjoy scaring my friends and family with it.

Who is your favorite teacher so far?
My favorite teacher is Mr. Scholze because he makes class fun while we learn.

Do you have any siblings
I have two sisters and a brother. One sister is sixteen and goes to Homestead. The other sister is twenty and goes to a small college in North Carolina. My brother is twenty-two and goes to TCU.

What is your favorite memory from this year?
My favorite memory from this year is when one of the paper airplanes from the ceiling fell and hit one of my friends in the eye

Are you in any sports or clubs?
I play hockey and will start intramural basketball next year.

Who is your favorite celebrity?
My favorite celebrity is Steve Carell because of his humor. I loved him in The Office.

What was the scariest part about coming to Homestead?
I was definitely most scared about being in a school with upperclassmen. I was also scared of harder classes.
