On Feb, 17, the girls basketball team defeated the rival Cedarburg team and snagged the program's first conference championship in 20 years. "We really worked on our chemistry as a team on and off of the court this year and that was showcased a lot during our conference game," Ahjullah Harris, senior captain, said.
Underneath the noise of snow falling from the sky, a noticeable murmur can be heard within the homestead community. A murmur composed of the thrilling sounds of basketballs triumphantly swishing through hoops, strong arms pushing through the water, pom-poms fluttering in the air, pucks gliding across the ice, opposing arms being pinned to the ground, skis descending down slopes, and chalked hands gripping metal beams as winter sports teams bring pride to their programs and achieve what can only be described as athletic excellence.
