Melanie Poindexter, Newsmagazine designer
Melanie Poindexter, a senior at Homestead, enjoys her role as newsmagazine designer. When not at school, you can find Melanie (a.k.a Rapunzel) constantly and thoroughly brushing her long, luscious locks. Not only is Melanie obsessed with growing her hair out till it reaches the floor (she hasn't cut it since the third grade), she also is determined to beat Picasso at his own game. Another hobby that Melanie enjoys is singing in the shower. The girl thinks she's the next American Idol. To accompany her voice, Melanie also plays guitar, ukulele and piano. Other than her hair, art and music, Melanie somewhat values her faith, her family and her friends.
