Mrs. Kari Lutter, assistant principal at Watertown High School, will begin her job as the new Homestead assistant principal on Jan. 22.

Homestead administration has found a new assistant principal to fill the spot left by Ms. Lori Keiser who resigned on Nov. 13, citing personal reasons. According to an email from Principal Brett Bowers to HHS faculty dated Dec. 10, Mrs. Kari Lutter will join the administrative staff beginning Friday, Jan. 22, 2016.

Mr. Bowers wrote, “[Mrs. Lutter] began her career as a high school English teacher, working in both the Fond du Lac and Slinger School Districts. For the past two years, she has been an assistant principal at Watertown High School.”

Next Wednesday, Dec. 16, Mrs. Lutter will introduce herself to HHS staff as part of the scheduled faculty learning session. The Mequon-Thiensville School District and Watertown Unified School District have come to an agreement regarding when she will begin at Homestead, stating Jan. 22 as the start date. In the meantime, Mr. Bowers stated that he and Mr. Chris Gray, assistant principal, will continue to work together to serve students, parents and staff.
