Get ready to rumba! On Wednesday, Sept. 29, Senora Lauber De Garza held the first Latin Dance Club meeting. There were six students in attendance.

The night was full of flavorful music and dance moves. Lauber De Garza taught the rumba and the salsa to the students. To begin, the students learned the beat and then they added in the steps. When they finally mastered the skills, each student added their own flavor to the dance. “I loved that she broke down each step down so that it was really easy to follow,” Pationce Bennett, senior, said.

Lauber De Garza had a spirit and charisma that transpired through the room; the members in attendance could not help but get up and dance. “Lauber De Garza  is such a fantastic Spanish teacher, and just as good of a dance teacher. I am really excited that this club is happening,” Ansley Laev, senior, said.

The club is going to have its second meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 6 p.m in room 306. “The club is sure to have. It’s a fun and upbeat atmosphere,” Luke Grohman, senior, said.
