Every Friday, a new story will be put online called “Freshman Friday”. A new freshman will be picked to be interviewed so the rest of the school can get to know them. Check in each week to learn about a new Highlander walking the halls.

What is your favorite hobby/sport?

I play volleyball, but not for HHS. I play on the club team Wild in Cedarburg. To me volleyball is the most exciting, and the competitiveness makes everything more fun. My favorite position is outside hitter, but I play all around.

What are you involved in/plan to be involved in at Homestead?

I’m not really involved in anything right now, but I plan to be in Best Buddies.

What was your biggest fear of high school?

I was scared I was going to get lost, and then go in [to class] late and be all messed up afterward. But, I didn’t get lost!

What’s your favorite thing about Homestead so far?

Being in classes with all of my friends. So far, my favorite subject is English.

What is your favorite place you have traveled?

Mexico, because it’s fun there. I went there with my family, and we parasailed and a lot of other stuff. The weather is so nice there.

Coming into high school, I felt like I wouldn’t know anyone, but now I look forward to meeting new people over the years.
