Third tri seniors reflect on their high school experience

Senioritis is a supposed affliction of students in their final year of high school or college, characterized by a decline in motivation or performance (Dictionary.com). Seniors in high school are less motivated as the year progresses perhaps because most colleges do not consider their applicants’ grades nearing the end of their high school career.

At many schools, senioritis is a common sensation that second semester seniors experience. However, since Homestead has trimesters, third trimester seniors are known to suffer from severe senioritis. Now that all seniors have completed their AP classes, other than studying for their AP exams in May, they have the freedom of a more relaxed schedule with many electives. Despite their decline in coursework, many seniors struggle to keep their attendance high and get their work done on time.

Seniors in the video above express their gratitude for being a third tri senior, discuss what they will miss the most about high school along with their best  high school memories and their future plans. In the video, featured seniors are Rachel Sandlow, Mackenzie Kurtin, Sam Judd, Jeffrey Skow, Aaron Cohen, Emma Rachum, and Sam Looft.
