Girls varsity lacrosse recognizes seniors

Anna Lalonde, senior, is welcomed by her team with her parents on her side celebrating senior night.

On Wednesday, May 23, girls varsity lacrosse ended its senior night against Mukwonago  with a score of  11-8. Nearing one of the last games of the season, the girls reflect on the successful spring they had experienced together as a team.

Anna Lalande, varsity senior, is having mixed emotions as the end of the season approaches. “I have had a blast this season, and I am really proud of how far our team has come,” Lalonde said. “Although this sport is still to new the school, we continue to hold our ground and I am excited for our last few games, we have all grown so close as friends and I am going to miss bonding with my teammates on the field next year.”

New to the team this year, Annie Brown, varsity freshman, has enjoyed every moment with the team, on and off the field. “This has been such an amazing season with such a supportive team. We have played several tough games, but we have stayed strong and gotten closer,” Brown said. This game was the opportunity for the players to appreciate all the hardwork and dedication the varsity seniors bring to the team and the field at senior night.
