The five members that competed in the state tournament were Josh Teplin, Christian Staudt, Ty Mueller, Spencer Tank and Michael Kennedy. The Highlanders were coached by Steve O’Brien.  There were 16 teams that competed at the state golf tournament, with the Highlanders finishing tenth as a team. The four scores were Josh Teplin (+11), Christian Staudt (+16), Ty Mueller and Spencer Tank (+21). Adding up to a two day total of +69. All players that counted as scorers will be returning for next years season. The Homestead golf team is taking one step at a time and has a bright future ahead in the following seasons.

“State this year didn’t turn out as we would have hoped, but it was a valuable experience for next season as we hope to get back and compete for a state championship. Our top four are returning, so we all are looking to improve and build upon what we accomplished this season,” Josh Teplin junior, said.
