Jersey Schmidt, junior, is a dedicated student-athlete. Schmidt plays for the Softball team at Homestead, along with her club team, Velocity Performance Training. When asked about her favorite softball memory, she recalled, “My favorite memory is probably making friends through softball and playing in the Dominican this winter against teams from all over the country.” Schmidt aspires to be a physical therapist after graduating to help injured athletes recover, just as physical therapy helped her recover from countless injuries. Schmidt shares, “I have been injured so much from my sport that I know how it feels to be injured and not be able to play, so I want to be the person who helps them recover.”
